Singkug Hill Bayayat, Kota Belud - JANGAN Ikut Trail B !

Ikutkan rancangan Sabtu lalu saya seharusnya mendaki Gunung Kinabalu tetapi, rancangan tersebut tidak terlaksanakan dan telah ditunda ke suatu tarikh baru. Dalam hati, 'YES !' kerana itu bermakna saya boleh menyertai xpdc menawan Singkug Hill Bayayat, Kota Belud bersama Team kerja Uni-Mix (saya bukan sebahagian dari tenaga kerja Uni-Mix).

Pendaftaran mendaki Singkug Hill adalah RM25 termasuk Guide + Sijil + makan tengahari + BBQ. Ketika sampai di kampung Bayayat, kami disambut dengan senyum mesra penduduk tersebut. 1st impression, kampung itu tenang dan indah. Saya suka kampung Bayayat Kota Belud !

Sebelum kaki melangkah menempuh cabaran Singkug Hill, kami diberikan taklimat ringkas tentang trail yang harus dipilih sama ada Trail A atau Trail B. Bagi sang penggemar cabaran, Trail A adalah kemestian. Trail B hanyalah sebuah pilihan jika yang diinginkan adalah perjalanan santai tanpa pengalaman extreme mendaki bukit yang curam dan licin. Berkali-kali dalam sesi taklimat tersebut kami digalakkan untuk memakai kasut 'Adidas Kampung' yang boleh disewa dari Eco-Pelancongan Bayayat. Saya dan rakan-rakan tidak memerlukan kasut itu ! sekurang-kurangnya keyakinan kami terhadap kasut yang kami pakai mampu membawa kami ke puncak. Tongkat juga boleh disewa, jika tidak yakin pada keadaan diri. Sekali lagi, keyakinan kami tinggi bahawa kami mampu tanpa tongkat. 

Jam 8 kami bergerak menuju Trail A. Beberapa teman mengikut Trail B dan peserta termuda adalah seorang anak kecil berusia 3 tahun. Awal perjalanan agak mudah, sekadar menyusur kebun orang kampung tetapi, semakin kaki melangkah jauh, lelah dan penyesalan bersatu menjadi satu. Trail B, mungkin trail yang patut saya lalui.........tetapi, satu kata yang sering menjadi alasan kenapa saya bersemangat melangkah adalah 'setiap langkah menghantar kita kepada destinasi'. Ada laluan yang mudah dan tidak kurang pula, laluan yang membuat kita menyesal untuk memilih Trail A. Seluruh kudrat digunakan menjangkau akar-akar kayu yang ada untuk dijadikan alat pembantu untuk memanjat bukit yang curam, sesekali kaki tergelincir dek licinnya laluan tersebut. Mendongak keatas, seakan penghujung kepada laluan yang tinggi tiada akhirnya. Bertanya kepada guide, 'masih jauhkah perjalanan?' 'boleh tahan !' katanya dan saya faham maksud ayat tersebut. Setiap kali melalui laluan yang sukar, banyak mulut melontarkan soalan 'ini laluan sukar yang terakhirkah?' dan sang guide sering membalas soalan tersebut 'masih ada laluan yang lebih susah dari ini'. Ahhh...salahkah saya memilih Trail ?

Saya yakin saya berada ditrail yang benar. Trail A, satu trail yang tidak boleh dilupakan. Trail yang mencabar dan disini saya meyakini satu hal bahawa saya memakai kasut yang salah. Semasa taklimat saya yakin kepada kasut saya kerana, ia sudah mengukir kejayaan menawan puncak Gunung Kinabalu, Gunung Wakid, Gunung Bromo, Gunung Ijen dan banyak bukit-bukit yang lain tetapi, ternyata saya akur dengan ketidaksesuaiannya di Bukit Singkug Bayayat. Mungkin adidas kampung adalah jawapannya ! tidak perlu berbangga dengan produk Solomon, Colombia atau jenama lainnya, cukup menggunakan produk negeri ini - Adidas Kampung ! lebih mencengkam dan tahan lasak.

Disetiap perjalanan yang sukar, pasti ditemukan hal-hal indah dipenghujungnya. Untuk apa bersusah-payah memanjat dinding batu yang tinggi, melangkah dengan seribu kesukaran dengan lelah jika pada akhirnya kita tidak menemukan apa-apa. Namun, Singkug Hill tidak pernah mengecewakan para pendaki, dalam sukar ia menyediakan pemandangan terbaik dari puncaknya. Tidak sekadar puncak Bukit Singkug menjanjikan pemandangan terindah tetapi, dari bukit Doa Bayayat juga kita dapat menyaksikan betapa indahnya negeri Sabah dari sudut arah kampung Bayayat Kota Belud.

Setelah melewati perjalanan yang sukar, pemandangan demi pemandangan indah kami kami temukan. Setelah puncak, kami harus berjalan menuruni bukit menuju Guabon Waterfall, perjalanan agak santai tetapi, jaraknya agak jauh. 'Jauhnya...jauhnya..jauhnya....' asyik-asyik perkataan tersebut keluar dari pemilik bibir kebanyakan pendaki waktu itu. Dari jauh terdengar beningnya bunyi air sungai tetapi, jujur saja...untuk menikmati air sungai itu masih membutuhkan banyak waktu untuk tiba dan mandi.

Benar kata tertulis, setiap langkah menghantar kita kepada destinasi tujuan dan akhirnya kami tiba di air terjun Guabon. Satu kata ekspresi terbit dari bicara dan perkataan itu adalah 'WOW' dan tempat itu, dimata saya sangat indah. Awalnya saya tidak mahu mandi tetapi,  deruan airterjun sangat menggoda apatah lagi, setelah lelah menerjah separuh mati, rasanya rugi jika tidak menikmati air gunung itu. Jika ada pilihan untuk sekadar menikmati airterjun itu tanpa perlu mengguras tenaga memanjat bukit, saya tanpa perlu berfikir banyak kali akan mahu menerima undangan tersebut. Hanya untuk mandi di airterjun. Setelah mandi, kami bergegas  meneruskan perjalanan pulang dengan pakaian basah. Perjalanan masih agak jauh tetapi, mudah.

Kami tiba dicheck point pertama iaitu tempat kami mula-mula berkumpul. Menukar pakaian dan menanti teman-teman yang lain tiba, berkumpul dan makan bersama. Hiking ke Singkug Hill dan mandi di Guabon Waterfall dilengkapkan dengan juadah kampung. Percaya kata saya, jika saya katakan sedap ia memang sedap ! Bayaran RM25 sangat berbaloi untuk sebuah pengalaman memanjat bukit, mandi di air terjun dan makanan kampung yang terbaik dari Eco-Tourism Bayayat Kota Belud. Tidak hanya itu, semua peserta menerima sijil penyertaan.

Buat penggemar hiking, anda wajib datang ke Singkug Hill Bayayat dan mengikuti Trail A yang disediakan. Trail B mungkin ceritanya sama dengan kisah bukit-bukit lain yang pernah anda tawan tetapi, tidak jika anda mengikuti Trail A.

Jeongseon Arirang Festival, South Korea

Hi all, how's life ? today I'm going to write about Jeongseon Arirang . What is Jeongseon Arirang ? well, Jeongseon Arirang is the regional variety of Arirang, Korea's best-known folk song, native to Jeongseon area of Gangwon-do.

Jeongseon Arirang festival is held every year in homage to his folk song, designated as Gangwondo Intangible Cultural Heritage No.1, Jeongseon Arirang Festival inaugurates with a costumed parade and street folk performances. The performance of Jeongseon Arirang, the main highlight of the festival, is followed by a variety of other folk performances, cultural events and sporting events.

It is free admission and it is located at : 112, Bongyang-ri, Jeogseon-eup, Gangwon-do. You can take a transport from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an Intercity bus to Jeongseon. If your are from Jeongseon terminal, take a taxi to the festival grounds and it takes about 5-10 minutes. Easy ? yeah... it will be happen on 29 September until 02 October 2017.

Famous Train In Gangwon : A-TRAIN (ARIRANG TRAIN)

Arirang Train or A-Train is one of the famous train in Gangwon, South Korea. The train opened on January 22, 2015, from Cheongnyangni Station in northeastern Seoul and passes trough several stations in Gangwon-do, including Mingdungsan and Jeongseon, which host the 'Five Days Market', and arriving at Auraji  Station.

The 'A' in the train's name comes from Arirang (a Korean folk singer), and the words 'amazement' and 'adventure'. As you know the song has many variations, and the Jeongseon Arirang ia a regional one. The song is listed as an Intangible regarded as an unofficial anthem of Korea.

The train has four themed cars with large windows and glass walls, one is sky room, on a tea room, and two of the cards are decorated in regional colors of red, yellow, blue and purple representing Jeongseon's geographical features such as the Dong River and the mountain ridges. 

The train's exterior includes a purple color for the pulsatilla, Jeongson's official flower, and is decorated with curves that symbolize the Arirang melody. Activities on the train include storytelling, music, magic shows and quiz games.

The new line to Jeongseon is the first train to be named after a Korea town, and generated additional local interest due to the proximity of the schedule 2018 Winter Olympics. So, if your are happen to be in Jeongseon in 2018, don't forget to try A-Train !
